Event Description

No matter what you do, the Microsoft Office Suite will always be central to your job. As a learning or design professional, you will especially find yourself using Word and PowerPoint frequently. Even if you have a preference for more specialized or advanced software, Word and PowerPoint will still be highly useful to you, especially because almost everyone has Office, which allows you to easily share documents with your clients and colleagues. Moreover, skilled Office practitioners can use Word and PowerPoint to create graphics, presentations, and documents that, for all practical purposes, rival those created with more advanced software. Thus, having a solid proficiency in Word and PowerPoint is an extremely useful and practical skillset.

You probably think you are already proficient in Word and PowerPoint. In fact, it is a safe bet that your resume already says that you are. Your first discovery at the outset of this session will be that you actually have a long way to go. Fortunately, our Learning Consulting Foundations sessions are designed to get you much closer to proficiency.

This session covers Microsoft Word. It draws from decades of experience using Microsoft Word to create deliverables for projects and clients across the globe. It focuses on Word functions that you are probably not currently aware of, but that, once you are aware of them, you will probably use all the time. Once you get comfortable using these functions, you will easily create much more professional documents much more efficiently, and you can apply these functions to documents ranging from a single page to several hundred pages to hundreds of documents.
